Located in a premier master-planned community, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is one of the most comprehensive healthcare facilities in Southern Nevada, providing residents with the services of The Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital, The Heart Institute and the Birthplace for Women and Children. Summerlin Hospital’s Robotic Surgery Center, featuring the daVinci? Surgical System and the first-in-southern-Nevada Cyberknife? Robotic Radiosurgery System, represents continuing pursuit of medical innovation.
More than 1,400 physicians and 1,100 employees on staff provide care to patients on the 40-acre campus. Over the past few years, the hospital has expanded its pediatric care services to add a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), advanced cardiac and surgical procedures, including open heart, and robotic surgery services. Summerlin Hospital recently completed the largest expansion project in its history. The expansion included the addition of a six-story tower that contains 173 additional private patient rooms, an expanded emergency room and a pediatric emergency room.
The hospital also features adjoining outpatient services and physician offices. Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission, is licensed by the state of Nevada's Department of Health and is a member of the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Association of Western Hospitals and the Nevada Hospital Association.
